Hello friend 🫶
What if I told you we are not meant to be enough on our own and that is okay?
Maybe you’re like me and the beginning of the new year can feel like there’s a lot of pressure to perform. The perfectionistic people pleaser mentality creeps in and there seems to be painful reminders everywhere that you are not enough and you never will be.
Despite the very individualistic messages of our culture, we are actually wired to depend on and need each other.
I know, scary right? 😬
Right away thoughts come to mind of all the times you have depended on someone and they failed you, betrayed you, abandoned you, hurt you.
I know because I have experienced it many times myself.
I have also been the one to hurt others too. By my words, my silence, my insecurity, my fear, my ignorance, and so on.
Relationships are HARD.
And there’s just no way around the hard.
It takes time, effort, perseverance and tenacity to find (and keep) community; authentic relationships that are the real deal.
If I am putting my effort into anything in 2025, it is relationships. The ones where I don’t have to perform or try to be something I’m not, instead I just get to be myself.
It is my hope and life work to be a part of building community where everyone feels seen, known, loved and free to thrive.
Whose with me? ❤️❤️❤️

I love the emphasis here on not being enough to the world’s standards. It’s freeing to know it’s ok.
