Having a NO Day?
🌊 Hey friend,
Sometimes I just need the message to come to me in the form of a kids story.
Simple and uncomplicated.
The video above is my son’s favorite story right now.
The storyteller’s and comedian’s, Ryan Lagod and Craig Tovey, are two family-friendly comedians that read children’s books aloud with silly voices, big emotions and sometimes improvised songs!1
My son laughs every time and now can pretty much read along word for word.
We all have those days, right?
Where from the moment we open our eyes to when we fall into our beds exhausted at night, nothing went like we wanted it to.
You yelled at your kids and felt really bad about it.
Had a disagreement with your spouse or partner.
You didn’t feel seen or heard by a friend you reached out to and shared how you were feeling.
And you’re just mad. 😠
Or maybe, like me, you don’t realize your mad because anger is an emotion you are used to suppressing.
So you feel sad. 😢
Either way, maybe you can relate with my little friend Bella above in the story, My No No No Day.
Her day gets started by something that makes her mad and then it’s all downhill until she tumbles right into a meltdown at bedtime.
Have you been there? I know I have. 🙋🏻♀️
Meltdowns are going to happen, they just are.
Instead of trying hard to prevent them, is it possible to become aware of the clues our bodies give us when we are nearing a meltdown? 🤔
You can learn more on this week’s Living Table episode.
